The development of Hobsons Bay Online History Kit is a three year project. This resource is being developed to enhance Hobsons Bay Libraries Local History Collection.

Stage One

Stage one of the Hobsons Bay Online History Kit is a revised version of the 1987 Williamstown History Kit by Ada Ackerly. Ada has kindly updated the information for the Web version.  The Williamstown History Kit is a great starting point for researchers of all ages into the history of Williamstown, Newport and Spotswood.

Stages Two and Three

Stages two and three will cover the other areas of historical interest in Hobsons Bay.

The Hobsons Bay Online History Kit has been funded by the State Government Local Priorities Grant.

This kit cannot be reproduced for commercial gain without the permission of the Hobsons Bay City Council.
