The Peter Norman Story

peter norman 1

In 1968 Peter Norman won silver for Australia at the Mexico Olympics.

When he heard that US medallists John Carlos and Tommie Smith planned to protest against inequality on the dais, he pinned an Olympic Project for Human Rights badge on his green and gold tracksuit and said: 'I'll stand with you.'

That act of solidarity cost him everything and his life changed forever.

The Peter Norman Story is a story about taking a stand and inspiring people everywhere to stand with you. Come and listen to Matt Norman, co-author of the book throw light on a little known Australian hero.
