The construction of the Altona North Library is on track with the steel framework is 99% complete. Work on the roof and wall panels are due be finalised during the next month. Purchasing for the collection has commenced and the staff are currently finalising the internal layout, furniture and fitout.

|  Altona North will be a state-of-the-art public library facility featuring separate areas for children, teenagers and adults. Some areas of the library will focus on lively activities and interactive programs. Other areas will offer a more traditional environment for quiet reading and study.
