When the World Went Inside: author talk with Charlie Golding

Covid-19 has had a huge impact on us all. Not least our young people whose world has changed beyond measure and perhaps beyond their current understanding.

‘When the World Went Inside’ is a beautifully illustrated children's book designed to build a bridge over this gap, to provide a conversation starter between you and your children and to reassure everyone that this will not be forever.

Meet Charlie Golding, mother of three and author of this fantastic book. Along with the rest of the world she was thrown blindly into this crisis. Whilst our children may be tiny, their minds are not. Their questions are deep and important and deserve a fully-fledged response.

When Charlie looked for resources to explain the pandemic to her little family, what she was looking for wasn't there. So, she wrote it. For her kids, and for yours.

Join Charlie for a live Q and A, as part of Hobsons Bay Libraries’ ‘Grow Your Reader’ campaign.

Bookings for these sessions is essential as you will receive an email with the event link on the morning of the event. You will only need to do one registration for you and your child/ren.
