Nean McKenzie

Nean is a children’s writer who lives in Altona. She is a graduate of the RMIT Professional Writing and Editing Course and was awarded a Maurice Saxby mentorship in 2016. She is delighted to announce her book Cryptosight is to be published in September 2019. Cryptosight is an adventure story for 8-12-year-olds about creatures not proven to exist. When not writing, Nean enjoys travelling, bushwalking and training for fun runs.

Life in, and connection to, Hobsons Bay

Nean has lived in Altona since 2002. She works as an optometrist in Williamstown. Her children are both at school in the local area.
