Creative Technology Hub

CTH logo 2The Creative Technology Hub makerspace, located within the Seaworks Maritime Precinct is a partnership project between Seaworks and Hobsons Bay City Council.

Programs and activities will focus on STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics – essential 21st century skills to provide opportunities to skill up, re-skill and obtain new employment opportunities.

Help us get ready for our formal opening, planned for early 2020 with a series of taster events as follows.

 

Make yourself a techy little Christmas

Get into the festive spirit these holidays and showcase your creativity. Use the laser cutter to create a unique decoration. Make a 3D ornament. Pose for your Christmas card in front of the green screen. Use the Virtual Reality headsets to paint in the snow.

Participants will require basic computer skills. Creative Technology Hub staff will be on hand to assist with equipment.

DIY festive jewellery (booked out - waitlist only)

Share your festive spirit with everyone you meet. Design and create a unique piece of jewellery using our laser cutter. Learn all the techniques you need to make a magical and merry pair of earrings or brooch.

Participants will require basic computer skills.

Step into the virtual world these school holidays with the Oculus Quest, exploring a variety of immersive and interactive experiences.

This is a drop-in event strictly for young people aged 13+
