Summer Kid Explorer Quest 2We’re going exploring in our own neighbourhood this summer with our Kid Explorer Quest! Join the adventure and complete 5 challenges for your chance at winning one of 5 x $50 Book+Paper vouchers - complete all 10 challenges for an extra entry into the draw!

Summer School Holiday Kid Explorer Quest BadgesCHALLENGES

1. WORD ON THE STREET: Locate and visit the closest Street Library to your home. Bring along a book to donate and take a new book home to read!

2. JOIN US: Participate in a Hobsons Bay Libraries virtual school holiday program event or activity.

3. GET READING: Read or listen to a book written by an Australian author and tell your family and friends about it!

4. MY TOWN: Visit a favourite place in your neighbourhood and take a photo and/or tell us why you love it.

5. TAKE A TRIP: Find a country on a world map that you’ve always wanted to visit. Using Britannica Library Online, learn 3 interesting facts about that country and share them!

BONUS ACTIVITIES

6. WRITE AWAY: Write a review of the best book you read over the summer holidays.

7. SPECIAL DELIVERY: Write a letter to a friend or family member and post it to them.

8. PLANT SPY: Spot a tree, plant or flower that looks like something else. Use your imagination!

9. DRAW IT: Draw a picture of your pet or favourite animal.

10. KEEP COOL: Find a unique way to keep cool this summer.

 

Conditions to note

  • The Summer Kid Explorer Quest will go live on the library website on Friday 4
  • December 2020 and close midnight Friday 22 January 2021.
  • Participants or their parent/carer must be a member of Hobsons Bay Libraries. Not a member? Join online here.
  • Participants must be under the age of 13 years.
  • Individuals can only register once, however families may enter individual children under
  • the same library membership.
  • Participants must complete the first 5 challenges to be eligible to enter the prize draw.
  • Complete the additional 5 challenges to be eligible for a second entry into the draw.
  • Winning participants will be drawn at random on Wednesday 27 January.
  • Winning participants will be notified by Friday 29 January by phone and email.
