Turning the page: your library story

Tell us your story by Sunday 30 June8083 LCL Social Media FB Event Image FA Orange A2945001

Every day in so many ways Victorian public libraries change lives by offering communities a place to learn, create and belong. No other organisation offers the same safe and inclusive public spaces with free and equal, life-changing access to art, ideas, education and social engagement.

We have helped people find long-lost relatives, study for exams, write to Santa, improve their English, identify the bugs eating their carpet, prepare for job interviews, gain computer skills, discover DIY handyman clips, learn early literacy skills, have fun and connect with others.

To celebrate the value of public libraries, the library service is putting together an anthology and exhibition of your stories and poems. You are invited to contribute to this by sharing the story of how the library has changed and impacted your life.
The book launch will be held in September 2019 and the exhibition will tour public spaces in Hobsons Bay until early 2020.
