Altona North Community Library

The Altona North Community Library has reopened. Please keep in mind that check-in and proof of double dose vaccination status are conditions of entry and there will be no cash payments available on site (EFTPOS is available).

Altona North Library is the first Council building to re-open following the easing of restrictions. Council will continue to take a measured approach when reopening our remaining facilities, including the Civic Centre, Altona, Altona Meadows, Newport and Williamstown libraries and community centres.

About Altona North Community Library

Altona North Community Library opened in March 2010.

Opposite the busy Borrack Square shopping precinct and next door to Bayside Secondary College this library is particularly vibrant in the afternoons.

In addition to the books, magazines and AV material in all branches Altona North Community Library has community language collections in Arabic, Greek and Italian.  Community meeting spaces are available for hire.
